Loaded Hot Dog Skewers are an easy and fun way to jazz up hot dog night. Simply thread your favorite veggies and hot dog. Baste them with a quick sauce for the ultimate summer meal!
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. While the grill is heating, soak your wooden skewers in water for about 10 minutes.
Next, slice the peppers into 1.5 inch slices. Slide the red onion in small wedges. Slice the hot dog into four 1.5 inch pieces. Take a skewer and thread two pepper slices followed by a hot dog piece followed by a red onion wedge and then a mushroom. Repeat the process until the skewer is full. You would have four skewers total.
In a small mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, rice vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, and chili powder. Using a brush, brush the sauce all over the skewers. Grill the skewers for about 10 to 15 minutes turning frequently to ensure even cooking.
Remove from the grill and serve immediately with your favorite sides!
