Fajitas, and a Farewell
Back to Denver tonight. This holiday tour is officially o-v-e-r. Mr. B and I had a fantastic time being with family and friends this week, but we are exhausted. I have been fighting a chest cold for the past week so I feel as though I am hanging on by a thread. I am crossing my fingers that this week it will go away.
Anways, we managed to squeeze in one last Wurth family gathering before we headed to the airport. I thought a late lunch would be a brilliant idea because we would be flying during dinner and I refuse to eat airport food unless I am dying. Seriously.
So, my mom and I decided Mexican food would be a nice change from turkey and mashed potatoes. We made chicken fajitas and beef tacos. Alongside, rice, salad and chips with guacamole. All of my favorite things.
We devoured lunch in record time….I mean seriously, who doesn’t love fajitas?
After lunch my mom, Mr. B and I took a quick stroll through Loose Park. The weather was actually pleasant and it felt sooooo good to stretch my legs. When we arrived back to my parents house, Mr. B and I quickly packed up our suitcases. We running a little behind. So, we said our goodbyes and bolted to the airport.
The airport was calm, probably because we were the last United flight out for the day. Other than a ten minute delay, it was smooth sailing.
I am looking forward to being home for awhile. Crazy to think we didn’t spend one weekend at home this entire month. No wonder I have a nasty cold.
Next up, New Years. Is it bad to say that I could care less? I really don’t think I can take another event!
What are your plans for the New Year?
I hope your cold is better, honey. Just chill the next few days and take care of yourself. Was so great to see you and Mr. B.
Love, mama
Thanks mom! I am starting to feel better:)
