los angeles: act two – saturday
Helloooo Laguna!
Saturday we were up and out the door. We had big plans for the day. And when I say, BIG, I mean relaxing on the beach with a beer in my hand without a care in the world.
Justin and Lindsey’s friend Jeff invited the whole gang down to Three Arch Bay in Laguna where he and his family would be hanging out. I’m not sure if he knew what he was getting into, but I think he had a good time with everyone. (P.S: this place was EPIC)
We setup camp around 1:00pm. The weather was perfect. You know, not to hot not to cold with a slight ocean breeze. Ahhh….felt so good.
Then we let the good times roll. Cue Jimmy Buffet.
People swam, surfed, and basked in the sun. (Quick side story…Mr. B was trying to swim back to the beach when Poseidon hit him with a two by four. Mr. B was actually stuck in a bit of a rip tide, luckily, Nick and Andrew went to check on him. Thank goodness he ended up being okay.)
This was baby Chances first trip to the ocean! He was a rockstar the entire day, but making friends with the ocean is going to have to wait a while. First introduction did not go well 🙁 The good news is he did manage to squeeze in some cuddle time with the ladies.
We stayed until sunset but not before we checked out why they call this place Three Arch Bay.
Can you guess why?
If you can’t see the three arches then this blog will explode in 30 seconds.
As we watched the sunset, I realized that I am very fortunate to have amazing friends, husband and good health. For me, that’s what life is really all about.
Sadly, we did not see any cast members from Laguna Beach. I know, I know. I really wanted to meet L.C. (not really) No famous people, but a famous day. Totally worthy of a beach high five!
We left the beach around 8ish. It was getting a little chilly and everyone was getting hungry. After one last look at this amazing beach, it was off to dinner in Laguna then back to LA. Dinner was quick, but finding the place was a bit of a challenge for the lead car (yeah, Mr B and Mr. J couldn’t find their way out of a paper sack Saturday night).
Next up, Mali-buya!
(stay tuned for act three – sunday!)
The photos were spec-TAC-ular! I felt like I was at the beach. I love “didn't see any famous people, but had a famous day.”. Wise words. Glad you had such a wonderful time.
Love, MAma.
Thanks Mom! Taking pics of the ocean was so much fun! All the natural light was wonderful.
