Heeeeey! (Jersey accent)

Hopefully your Saturday has been enjoyable. Mr. B arrived back in town last night from BFE. He had been in Hobbs, New Mexico for work which is basically west Texas.

Any who, I surprised him with a homemade vegetarian lasagna accompanied by a fresh salad and red wine. It’s true, the way to a guys heart is through his stomach.

We finally got some sleep last night. When Mr. B is gone I usually don’t sleep very well because I think of intruders. I can conjure up some seriously crazy thoughts about what might happen to me when I am alone. I’m pretty sure that’s not healthy. But what’s a girl to do?! Maybe I should set boobie-traps?

Since Mr. B had basically been eating road kill for the past week, I thought it would be nice to eat some real food. So we skipped over to The Squeaky Bean for brunch. The chef there is incredible. He uses local, seasonal ingredients in his deconstructed dishes.

I swoon every time I eat the food.

Mr. B had the Green Chile: slow poached eggs with braised pork belly hash. Get out of town, good.
I had the Tortilla Espanola: traditional spanish style omelet with fingerling potatoes and caramelized onions, served with a garlic aioli.
Both were yummy, but I am not going to lie mine needed bacon. Lot’s and lot’s of bacon.
After brunch we stopped by the scooter store down the street. I am in the market for a scooter since we found a second parking spot in our garage! Yippie!
I know I am dork for wanting one, but it would be perfect for me to get to work. Can’t you see me in some goofy classes, scarf blowing in the wind, cruising down main street? It would be epic.
We browsed around, but two scooters caught my eye. The orange one is obviously newer, but isn’t the red one AWESOME!! Her name is Stella and she’s a classic.
Which one do you like?
I still have a ton of research to do but I am so glad we stopped and looked because now I am really excited!
Next up, the mountains. I had to stop by the grocery store and pick up the Roast Beast for our Easter dinner tomorrow. I found a great deal at Safeway. Eight pounds of meat for $50…booyah!
I was a little bummed when we were driving up because it was snowing and raining. Hello, where did the 60 and sunny spring skiing go? I can’t rock my 80’s outfit in this weather.
Oh, well. We arrived and hung out with everyone. Pizza and beer were on the menu tonight.
Tomorrow church, skiing and the Easter feast!
