foodie fridays: mint chocolate chip milkshakes
Oh, hey there!
Could you hold on for like two seconds?
“My milk shake brings all the boys to the yard, and there like, Its better than yours. Damn right its better than yours, I can teach you, but I have to charge…”
And…I’m back. Sorry about that. Every time I hear the word milkshake, I break down and start singing that milkshake song! Come on, you know you do it, too! I swear I won’t tell. It will be our little secret. Scouts Honor.
Thankfully, we won’t be shooting rap video today because my “milkshakes” would have a hard time bring the boys to the yard if ya know what I’m saying? Today I thought I would keep things playground PG because this milkshake recipe is near and dear to my heart.
Back in the 5th grade, we would have show and tell every other month. I remember for one show and tell I taught my classmates how to do the waltz. Totes true. Which, now that I think about it, I had no classical ballroom training. I figured since I was a jazz dancer that performed at local recitals, then that certified me as a professional. Wishful thinking? Probably. Anyways, I will state for the record that the waltz was a huge success. But! My biggest show and tell success was definitely teaching the class how to milkshakes at home.
I remember toting a huge ass blender to school and asking the cafeteria lady to keep the ice cream cold for me until show time. When it was my turn to present, I explained to everyone that milkshakes are epic…blah, blah. They are super easy to make….blah, blah. Only cool kids make milkshakes….blah, blah (just kidding). I scooped out the ice cream and placed some into the blender. Poured the milk in, placed the lid on (key) and pressed go!
Then, ever so slowly, I poured the milkshake concoction into glasses for everyone. People went bananas! I was immediately voted class president and most popular. Okay, not exactly, but I did eventually run for student council in high school. Does that count?

India is the world’s largest producer and consumer of milk, yet neither exports nor imports milk. New Zealand, the European Union’s 27 member states, Australia, and the United States are the world’s largest exporters of milk and milk products. China and Russia are the world’s largest importers of milk and milk products.“..’
