Harvest Cider Mojito
Harvest Cider Mojito is a refreshing cocktail perfect for any occasion!
Down to the last minute.
I’m not even kidding.
The same thing happened to us two Thanksgivings ago. Mr. B and I were demoing our master bedroom three days before my family was to arrive. Our house was a giant sh$t show with dust covering every square inch. BUT! Somehow we managed to get it all done 27 minutes before the doorbell rang.
This year we are on the same path. AGAIN. Only this time the stakes are higher. We ( I mean Mr. B ) are in the process of installing a tankless water heater. The whole thing started last Saturday and well, has been quite the journey. Between hanging the box on 100 plus year old foundation to drilling a hole outside the house for ventilation to hanging pipe. This water heater better spew out sunshine and lollipops.
Knowing my husband he will get it installed, but the question is, will it work? Stay tuned as another episode of “This CRAZY A$$ OLD House” continues. Worse case scenario we take Thanksgiving to the Residence Inn. Kidding, MOM!
Anyway, as my family begins to arrive, I have the best thing to keep them distracted from the water heater situation. Have you ever had a Harvest Cider Mojito? Well, let me fill you in. I know that bourbon gets a lot of love, but you guys, rum is the tits! Mark my words in the next five years everybody will be drinking this stuff.
For this cocktail you don’t have to be super fancy if you are making it for a crowd. Cruzan Dark Aged Rum is a great and not overly expensive. Mix the rum with apple cider (so good!!), lemon juice and mint! That’s it!
So what are you waiting for? Make a big batch and cheers to the Thanksgiving celebration (and a new water heater!)
