A Miracle on 34th Street
On the road again….
Next stop, Kansas City. I have a gracious father-in-law and older brother who aided in the transport of Mr. B and I. Without them, this trip would not be possible. Chuck, Mr. B’s dad, took us to Emporia to meet my brother John for the swap. All in all, it was a pretty easy travel day.
We arrived in Kansas City, and settled in before all of the fun activities started. Each year, my mother and I do a Christmas themed dinner. Some past themes have been It’s a Wonderful Life and Island of Misfit Toys. This year we chose Miracle on 34th Street because of this picture.
Yep, that’s me, 80’s bowl cut and all!
Dinner included brisket, creamed corn, mashed potatoes and a lemon poppy seed pound cake for dessert. Delish.
We set the table and began our feast.
After dinner we opened our stockings and exchanged presents. A couple of my favorites: tights from Lulumelon, a garmin watch (finally), and new running shoes. Fitness Santa was good to me this year.

We finished up the night with our notorious gag gifts. A brass knuckle coffee mug, onion goggles, a cheetah teapot and ninja bread men cookie cutters were among the highlights.
And that’s a wrap on Christmas!
The food was absolutely yummy this year, and the gag gifts were outstanding! I can't wait to make Ninja Gingerbread Kick-Ass Men and serve them at the store.
Love, monomers
