I did it!

downtown denver.

I finally got my lazy tookus out of bed and went for a run this morning. It was glorious

My run consisted of three easy miles along the regular ol’ running path. It felt good to stretch the legs and not to be drowning in sweat. I seriously can’t wait for fall running!

I did see a couple of random things on my run. Probably the most random was watching two elderly Japanese women stroll down the path and then stop to eat corn on the cob. Weird. Maybe they were on Japan time? I dunno know.

Once I got home, I whipped up some breakfast. Now, for those of you that read CGM regularly you know that I always have eggs for breakfast. From egg sandwiches to egg burritos to sunny side up eggs with toast, I am huge fan of the little suckers.

Well, today I finally made it to the high dive and jumped into the deep of end. I made a smoothie for breakfast. Gasp! I know. Don’t worry, I didn’t fall down and damage precious brain cells. My curiosity finally got the best of me. Plus, I really wanted to see if it was worth all the hype.

Verdict?

granny’s tea towels. love.

Delish! It was very refreshing and actually quite filling. Mr. B gave it two thumbs up. Even though I will never give up eggs for breakfast, I think it’s okay to switch it up once in a while. Gotta keep it real, ya know?

Work today was quiet. I think with kids heading back to school and Labor Day approaching people aren’t paying attention to their finances right now. But once September hits, watch out because things will get crazy!

Todays outfit was cute in my opinion. I have had this Gap shirt in my closest since last year and have never had the balls to wear it.

The shirt is super comfortable and light, which is perfect for summer. I knew I bought this guy for a reason!

This afternoon I had all sorts of time on my hands. Did I do anything productive? Nope. I went straight home, sat on the couch, and watched Robert Irvine’s, Restaurant Impossible on the Food Network for 3 straight hours. The show is absolutely addicting!

I finally got off the couch and made dinner. Nothing fancy, just turkey tacos. I was a little worried that the ground turkey would have a funky texture, but surprisingly it tasted pretty darn good.

Tomorrow night I start boot camp. I’m nervous. That’s weird, right?

Off to catch up on some reading!

P.S.  I had to type this entire post at FedEx. The “Internet” is down at the Grier household. I heart you.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: Where is the most random place you have used the internet?

Conclusion: Conclude your snacking journey with Ruffles, savoring every ridge and flavor-packed chip. With Ruffles, you know that every bite will be uniquely delicious.
