the rabbit fell down the hole
Do you remember the white rabbit from Alice and Wonderland?
Who am I kidding, of course you do. Where are my manners.
The animated Disney movie was my favorite. I was thoroughly disappointed when Tim Burton decided to mess with my childhood memories and re-make this movie. He already messed up Charlie and the Chocolate Factory AND Sleepy Hollow, Why Tim? Why? You can’t redo the Cheshire Cat or the Caterpillar. These are epic characters that play a pivotal role in a child’s imagination.
Where was I?
Oh, yes.
The white rabbit.
Remember he had the Benjamin Franklin looking glasses, big white buck teeth, a sweet little bow-tie, and that HUGE damn clock? Remember he was always hopping around from scene to scene looking at his gold clock shouting, I’m late, I’m late, I’m late I’m late I’m late!?
Yes? Your probably wondering were I am heading with this random thought. But that white rabbit was me this morning. I over slept by 40 minutes. How? No alarm was set. Ooops. I jumped out of bed and scrambled to get ready in thirty minutes.
I ran from one end of apartment to the another screaming, I’m late, I’m late, I’m late I’m late I’m late! Mr. B will probably tell you that I am less then graceful when I am in a rush. He just stands back and let’s me freak out because he knows that I am super dramatic in the morning. (Love you too babe).
I was ten minutes late to work. OMG. Someone sound the alarm. My boss was running behind too…weird. Did everyone get the white rabbit memo?
Due to the mad chaos this morning, today’s outfit is brought to you by:
Nothing like a little pinstripe to keep your co-workers on their toes. Red would be so proud.
After work I headed home because my back is still achy. I iced and stretched, but she is still pissed. This probably happens to me every six months. I am not quite sure what causes it to freak out, but I know sitting at a desk all day probably doesn’t help the situation.
Dinner tonight is a new favorite: Naan Pizza!
I could eat this every night. Takes less then 15 minutes to make and the cheese, forget about it!
I'm reading The Help right now and its just as good as everyone says it is. I want to start Water for Elephants this weekend. AND, I always like to recommend anything by Jen Lancaster. If you've never read her, start with Bitter Is The New Black. Love her.
Hilarious! LOVE the white rabbit image! And “outfit by the Shawshank inmates” Hilarious! Great post!
And I want what you had for dinner!
Love ya, Mom!
