a drizzly day
Hi!
How was your hump day?
Was it extra humpity? Wait. Don’t answer that. Wait. Is that even a word?
Eh, just go with me.
The weather today called for rain, rain, and more rain.
I am not the biggest fain of rain. Being soaked is not my happy place, but when it rains in Denver it’s a true blessing. Even though I like to brag that this city sees more than three hundred days of sunshine a year, it’s nice to have an effing excuse to do nothing.
Ya know what I’m sayin’?
Since we took the new Jeep in last night to get it lifted (don’t ask) and to have new tires put on, yours truly here was back on the bus today!
I sort of missed it in a weird way.
All the downtown crazies were out in full force. The social suicide mall shuttle was full of nine to five workers. But the best part, seeing my SBUX friends!
I can’t believe they remembered me and the drink I order. Um, Starbuck’s employees for president?
Work today was the same ol’, same ol’.
But some good news: I am planning another cooking event in the near future. I smell Indian food…..JAZZ hands.
I arrived home from work and immediately started to shoot/cook Foodie Fridays. Since it was raining all day the natural lighting was horrible, and I was running around like a mad woman trying to get the right shot.
Thankfully I finished shooting and was going to take some shots of dinner when I dropped the camera. The BIG, nice, fancy camera. WTF. Mr. B is going to kill me. I checked everything. It took pictures, but auto focus wasn’t working. Gosh d#%m it!
You know what that means, new lens. Fantastic.
After that whole mess, I needed a drink.
Hello, friend.
(taken before camera accident)
Once Mr. B arrived home I handed him glass of wine and told him that his camera had a boo-boo. He wasn’t mad. More like meh. Who knew a busy husband was such a good thing? Whew! False alarm.
Alright, stick a fork in me, I’m done.
Off to watch Restaurant Impossible. Love me some Robert.
Have a great night!
