a small space
I need your help!
Yes, you.
The husband is away so I need your advice. Input. Opinion.
I am trying to figure out how to finish decorating/organizing our balcony. You may have recently noticed our new grill, herbs, and cleaning frenzy these past couple of weeks, and now I am looking too make the final touches.
You know…table and chairs, flower boxes, flower stand, etc.
Okay, here are some pictures of the balcony to help get your creative juices flowing.
Quick side story….when I was watering our herbs two weeks ago, one of our neighbors was outside grilling on his balcony and shouted hello to me. It startled me for a second because no one in our building talks to each other. Yeah, it’s weird. I said hello back, and he immediately asked if we got moved in okay. In my head I was like, what? We have lived here for almost four years silly. I uttered back, ” Well, we’ve actually lived in our loft for about four years now, and we finally decided to get off our tookus and use the balcony.” He looked puzzled by my response. But he happily replied. “Well…welcome!” Now I see him daily and we converse.
Alright, back to the creativity. I have done some research on what works best in small spaces and have ended up spending a majority of my time on the CB2 website. (I wonder if there is a support group for people who compulsively by CB2 products because their stuff is awesome!)
What do you think of this chair?
Table? It folds down for easy storing.
As far as flower boxes go, we don’t get a ton of sunlight. Do you have any recommendations on flowers that are pretty but don’t require a mega load of rays? I am stumped in this area. My green thumb is still in it’s infancy stage.
Oh yeah, just in case you were wondering, our herbs are still alive. Whooohoooo!
Anyways, off to raid the fridge. Not quite sure what’s for dinner tonight. I am thinking pizza.
Yeah, pizza fo sure.
We had pizza last night too… shocking. 🙂
I'm not so good with the creative stuff. But I like that table and chair!
Thanks friend! I am think I am going to buy them because they just went on sale. Booyah!
OK this post is from like a week ago – apparently I am a little late catching up on my blog reading! Have an idea for your flower box… I have one too that doesn't get much light, and I planted Impatients. They were the only flowers I could find that needed low-light areas, and they turned out super cute in my flower box. (Who would think I would be giving out gardening advice… I don't exactly have a green thumb!) 🙂
