Easy Broccolini Cheesesteaks
Easy Broccolini Cheesesteaks are a delicious, vegetarian sandwich that is bursting with flavor!
A couple of years ago I visited Philadelphia.
Such a great city with lots of history, culture, and delicious food. And when I say delicious food, I’m of course talking about the Philly cheesesteak.
Thick hoagie style bread stuffed with shaved beef, peppers, and topped with cheese. I mean, what could be better?
Well, I wanted to create that nostalgia, but on the healthier side. These Easy Broccolini Cheesesteaks are packed with roasted broccolini, a rich bolognese sauce, and of course, provolone cheese. I promise you won’t miss the meat.
Ready to give them a try?
What are in these Easy Broccolini Cheesesteaks?
These Easy Broccolini Cheesesteaks are SO SIMPLE to make. I’m talking about four ingredients folks! You will need:
- Broccolini
- Favorite marinara sauce
- Provolone cheese
- Hoagie rolls
Tips for Making Easy Broccolini Cheesesteaks:
1. Broccolini. If you’ve never heard of broccolini it’s basically a hybrid of regular broccoli and Chinese kale. Broccolini has long stems and smaller florets compared to standard broccoli. You can roast, saute, grill, etc. broccolini. It’s a super delicious and easy vegetable to prepare.
2. Red Sauce. This is where you can use whatever kind of marinara sauce you want. I love Rao’s sauces and so for this recipe I used their jarred bolognese.
3. Hoagie rolls. If you can find rolls that are about 8-inches long that would be great. This way you can stuff the broccolini inside to create the look of a Philly Cheesesteak.
Frequently Asked Questions
