Well…
I guess the weatherman wasn’t kidding around with his snow prediction. Holy bananas!
I woke up this morning to a winter wonderland.
Oh, shoot. Now that I look at these pictures, I just realized I didn’t bring my herbs inside. Rats. Oh well. I wasn’t planning on keeping them through the winter anyways because I don’t want to deal with nats in our apartment. Gross. Those little suckers are a nightmare to kill.
As I was driving to work this morning, I noticed an obscene amount of cop cars and lines of people outside the Pepsi Center. I couldn’t figure out why people were standing outside in the snow like a bunch of a jackasses. So I “naturally” decided to take a picture to remind myself to Google what was going on.
Well, when I arrived at work, I checked the Denver Post website and sure enough, ol’ President Barry was in town giving a speech.
Can you believe around this time next year we will be voting for either a new president or re-electing Obama? Where does the time go?
Todays work out fit was definitely inspired by the weather.
Wool pants, check. Sweater, check. Comfy scarf, check. Snow boots…almost check. I had a little trouble this morning finding my
Chilkats. I really need to get our winter wear organized. But after digging through a mound of shoes, I found them! If you’re looking for the best snow boot on the planet, I highly recommend these bad boys. They are super comfy, warm, and somewhat fashionable (okay, that may be a stretch).
I know that I look like a huge nerd wearing them in the office, but my feet were freaking freezing Mr. Bigglesworth! Don’t worry, we didn’t have any clients coming into the office so don’t freak out. Good news is that tomorrow it will be sunny, and I will be back to wearing patent pumps. That’s why I love Colorado.
The drive home from work was a little tricky. The majority of people that live in Denver are either from California or Texas so when it snows they freak out. O.M.G, snow! They instantly forget how to drive their HUGE Texas truck and hippie-loving Prius. It’s rather hysterical.
Since I couldn’t convince Mr. B to watch The Rachel Zoe Project with me last night, I decided to cuddle up on the couch and catch up on a couple of episodes. Does anyone else find her hilarious? I know she can be super annoying, but I die of laughter every time she says major. And her little fashion crew cracks me up!
Dinner tonight was all about comfort food. Knowing the weather would be crappy, I decided to make spaghetti and meatballs. YUM!
I used this
method for the meatballs. Nothing screams comfort food like oozing cheese.
I hope you had a good hump day.
Peace!
P.S. H&M officially opens on Nov. 10th! Booyah!
lovely pictures as usual. . .hard to believe that much snow fell.
I brought in my oregano, better go get my thyme and rosemary. The basil – you can't bring in – so I picked it and dried at least a little bit.
Sigh. The thought of California living sounds better every year.
You clicked very nice photographs…
Surely such types of snowfalls really effect the daily routines of our life cycles and I can't imagine, how you look to wear such shoes in the office.
