Today felt like Sunday, but it didn’t.

Not having to work tomorrow really threw me for a loop. I kept thinking all day long, I need to go to the grocery store to get food for the week. I need to do laundry, wash the car, and catch up on the DVR. You know, Sunday stuff.

But then I quickly realized, ohhhh yeah, tomorrow is a holiday. Sa-weet!

This morning Mr. B and I went about our “normal” Sunday routine and headed to Mona’s for brunch. I have to tell you, I am so happy that Mr. B is back. What can I say, I love the guy.

Mona’s is our second favorite brunch spot in Denver because it’s only a couple blocks down from our apartment, and they serve fresh, organic food. Plus, the restaurant is decorated super chic and the prices are reasonable. It’s a win, win situation.
Instead of ordering my traditional omelet with guacamole, I decided to get real buck wild and ordered the breakfast tacos. The star of this dish was definitely Mona’s homemade salsa. If you like spicy salsa that has a fire roasted tomato base, then you’ll love this kind.
We stopped by REI after Mona’s to pick up Mr. B’s new snow skis. He had the guys at the REI ski shop mount his bindings while he was away for the week. I can’t wait to show a picture of him on his new setup. I am not kidding when I say they look like water skis…they’re that WIDE.
After our two stops, we heading back home. Now, I would love to tell you that we were super productive and eventually we left the apartment again. Yeahhhh, no. All I can tell you is that our DVR went from only have 8% to 65%. We were a little behind and I am not going to lie, it felt fantastic to snuggle on the couch with Mr.B
Since we ate a big brunch, we weren’t hungry until almost 8pm and decided that burgers from the Wazee Supper Club sounded perfect.
Mr. B and I ordered out from the Supper Club at least once a week because it’s literally the next building over from our place. Besides being convenient the food is fantastic. We always order the medium supreme, but like I said earlier, their burgers were calling our names.

Mr. B had the buffalo burger with pepper jack cheese and I ordered the turkey burger with white cheddar. We also split a box of frings – fries and onion rings mixed together. A very simple concept, but completely brilliant!

Nom, nom, nom……
Of course you can’t have a burger without a beer. Dales Pale Ale, yes please!

After dinner, we decided to end our day with a little Mad Men action. We are in the fourth season where Betty and Don are about to get divorced. If you haven’t watched this show I highly recommend checking it out.

Tomorrow we’re hitting the slopes. The forecast says snow for the high country, but we’ll see!
Nite!
