Pumpkin White Russian Cocktail
Pumpkin White Russian Cocktail is a festive fall cocktail that’s perfect to sip on for happy hour or any holiday occasion!
Dark-thirty.
The appropriate time to start making a cocktail.
Well, when said darkness appears at 4:45pm in the fall/winter months, you can bet your sweet tookus that I am making a cocktail.
One of OG cocktails that I like to make is a White Russian. In fact, my mother got me hooked on these a long time before The Big Lebowski. It’s a fun drink that doesn’t take a lot of effort to make and will give you a bit of a pick me up with the coffee liquor.
Today, I wanted to put a spin on the famous drink and make a Pumpkin White Russian Cocktail. Picture all the usual suspects to make a White Russian, but with pumpkin puree added. GASP! It gives this cocktail the perfect fall spin and will have you dancing in your flannel robe.
Ready. Set. Pour.
What’s in this Pumpkin White Russian Cocktail?
A traditional white Russian cocktail is very easy to assemble. Well, for this fall version the only extra ingredient you will need to add is pumpkin puree. The rest of ingredient list:
- Half-n-half
- Kahlua
- Vodka
- Brown Sugar
- Heavy Cream
- Ice
Tips for Making a Pumpkin White Russian Cocktail:
1. Vodka. Whenever you are making a cocktail you want to stick to the middle shelf. Personal favorites: Tito’s or Sky.
2. Kahlua. One of my favorite coffee liquors with a hint of rum and coffee granules.
3. Pumpkin puree. If you have leftover canned pumpkin from holiday baking add it to this cocktail. The pumpkin puree will add a depth of fall flavor!
Frequently Asked Questions:
What if I don’t like Kahula?
Great question. If you don’t like Kahula I would simply substitute it with regular coffee or a chocolate-flavored liquor.
Can I make this drink ahead of time?
Unfortunately, no. This drink is best served on the spot!
What appetizers would you serve this Pumpkin White Russian Cocktail with?
So many great options! I would try this Harvest Charcuterie Board, Fireside Cheese Dip, or these Holiday Dips: Three Ways!
