Do your pet peeves ever annoy you?

I realize this question doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but sometimes these things need to be asked.

On the scale of typical pet peeves, mine tend to range on the normal end of the spectrum. Or at least I think they are “normal.” I typically get annoyed when people don’t put dirty dishes in the dishwasher. It perplexes me how a hardened tomato sauce dish can’t find it’s way to a place that will clean the dish for you.

I typically get annoyed when people stop walking in the middle of a busy sidewalk and start looking around. It totally messes up the natural flow of sidewalk traffic. What, are you too good for the “sides” of the sidewalk? Move it, or lose it, people!

I typically get annoyed when people talk loudly into their cellular devices. Unless you’re talking to your sweet, 90 year-old grandmother that is almost deaf, there is no reason to shout into the phone. No one wants to be a part of your conversation. Take it down a few decibels.

But one of my pet peeves irritates the heck out of me. It’s rather silly and some of you will probably think its major cray-cray, so please stink-eye away. I hate being wet. Anytime it rains and I have to walk outside, I immediately become a grumpy-grumperton (hence why I would never live in Seattle). If I’m wearing flip-flops and somehow my feet get wet, I become extremely agitated. The worst is when after using the bathroom and I have to air dry my hands, holy mother of Francis, I feel like the walls are closing in. The funny thing about this annoying pet peeve is that my astrological sign is Pisces, a water sign. It’s complete irony, I tell ya.

Well, with the kickoff of spring officially two days away, I’d better invest in a good umbrella. Because like my homie Snoop Dog would say, “It’s gonna drizzle, my nizzle.” Thankfully, there are things to keep me occupied inside while the spring showers bring may flowers.

I actually made this crab tomato salad while it was snowing outside! Apparently, I was wishing it was spring already. Anyways, this salad comes together lickity-split. I found the lump crab all ready to go at Whole Foods. So, all you need to do is cut some tomato slices, pile on the crab, and make the jalapeno avocado dressing! By the way, this dressing is my new love. It’s fresh, spicy, and sweet.

Now, where did I put my galoshes?
